This National Postal Meter , Ser # 4426XXX was mfg abt 9/43. It has all of the correct component parts
for this period. This was the 3rd & final block of Carbines that they mfg for the DOD. I use these reference
publications for my accuracy of information. R C Larson's M-2 Carbine 2nd Edition, Craig Riesch's US M1
Carbines 7th Edition & J C Harrison's The M1 Carbine III. I make every attempt at accuracy but will always
I welcome anyones opinion.
This NPM Carbine has the typical NPM medium to lighter gray parkerizing of it's parts. This due inpart to
the many supplier's and subscontractor's. The Buttstock was supplied by "Trimble Mfg" it has the correct
cartouche on the R-Side of the stock of "NPM/FJA" and the ordnance stamp w/the cross cannons. In the sling
well is says "Trimble/TN". The handguard is a T2 - 3 hole and also has the initials "TN". There are no cracks
or major repairs.

narrow tang, Rear Sight - T3 Adjustable by I.R. CO , Barrel - T1 by Underwood w/Flaming Bomb, Front Sight
T1 w/"N", Bolt - T2 Flat w/PN -N14, Firing Pin - T3 w/"NN" Extractor - T3 - NPN, Ext Plunger - Ts, Trig Hsg - T1
w/"N9" PN, Trigger - T2 w/"SN" PN, Sear - T1 w/"LN", Hammer - T3 w/"HI", Safety T3 w/"SN", Mag Catch T2A
w/MN", Oper Slide - T1 w/"N" in well,Stock - High Wood -w/"NPM/FLA" Cartouche, Hd Gd T2 w/"TN", Recoil
Plate - T3 w/"LN", RP Screw T2, Barrel Band T1A - w/"UN".
The action is also excellent and the bore measures "O",
It comes w/ a correct WWII Sling, Oiler ("SI") and magazine marked "MN".
