Description:
US Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Single Shot chambered in 45-70 Government. This rifle features a 32 5/8-inch barrel with hooded pinned blade front sight and Buffington gradated leaf rear sight. Case colored low arch 1884 dated breech block. Springfield marked lock. 2 Band walnut stock. Left side of stock has a sharp cartouche with 1891 date. This rifle is in very fine condition as the barrel maintains over 90 percent blue and the receiver, lock and trigger guard retain 70% blue. .45-70 Government
