Description:
Stevens J Arms Co Model 418 chambered in 22 Long Rifle. This rifle features a blue 26-inch round barrel and a case-hardened receiver. The walnut stock has a LOP of 13 1/4 Inches. Manufactured from 1932 to 1940. This rifle was designed as a lightweight single shot target rifle chambered for the 22 LR or 22 Short cartridge. The left side of the receiver is marked "TRADEMARK/STEVENS/REG U.S. PAT OFF & FGN.". The right rear of the barrel is marked with the two-line address, "22 LONG RIFLE" on the left rear and a circled "20" at the breech. The serial number is on the lower tang. Blade front sight and a filler block in the rear sight dovetail. It has a smooth walnut beaver tail forearm and pistol grip stock with a serrated steel buttplate and sling swivels.
