Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Here we have a very nice example of a Western Arms Long Range side-by-side 12 gauge shotgun. Manufactured from 1929 to 1946, the Long Range was the sole firearm produced by Western Arms Company and the company itself was a division of the famous Ithaca Gun Company located in Ithaca NY. The Long Range SxS was produced in four gauges and a multitude of different barrel lengths. This particular model is in 12 gauge and features 28" barrels, fixed Full / Modified chokes, extractors, double triggers, case-colored receiver, and smooth walnut furniture. This example retains a large portion of its original blue finish along the barrels but has turned to a nice grey patina over the years. The barrels do show scattered handling marks and light thinning near the muzzle. The receiver retains a nice amount of its original case coloring but does show finish loss from being handled/carried in the field. The walnut stock set is in great overall condition with no signs of major damage or significant handling marks. The stock has had two light repairs around the top tang and appears to have been professionally done. The bores are bright in both barrels and they show no signs of pitting, dings, or dents. All the factory markings are more than legible including the engraving on the receiver, and the action locks up tight. The safety functions flawlessly and both triggers break cleanly. The rear trigger guard screw head is lightly cracked but is easily removable and easily replaced. This Western Arms Long Range would make an outstanding field gun for any upland game.
