Description:
****SOLD****This is a very nice all-original Smith & Wesson .32 Safety Hammerless revolver with a 3.5" inch barrel manufactured circa 1906.  It is a 2nd Model with a factory nickel plated finish and all-matching numbers in 100% fully-functional condition.  The double-action only 32 Safety Hammerless revolver was first introduced in 1888 and remained in production until 1937 with just under 250,000 manufactured, with 3 distinct models recognized by collectors today.  The 32 Safety Hammerless was a well-made and handsome self-defense revolver that quickly earned a reputation for reliability.  Offered in nickel or blue and in 4 different barrel lengths, a customer could get exactly what they wanted.  In all but the longest barrel length, the classy little 32 Safety Hammerless could be easily concealed and quickly brought into action if needed.  This particular example is serial number 149940, a lightly-used and honest little gun.  The vast majority of the factory nickel plating is still intact, bright and clean, with only some small scattered patches of plating loss and minor handling marks.  All of the factory markings are crisp and clear, and all of the factory screw heads are in excellent shape with clean slots.  The factory blue finish on the triggerguard and top latch rates 95%, while the case colors on the trigger still show some nice color on either side of the trigger.  The bore in this S&W is excellent, mirror-bright and clean with perfect rifling.  All five chambers of the cylinder are equally as clean and free from damage.  The original grips on this gun are in good condition overall, free from cracks, chips, repairs, or excessive wear.  The biggest deduction to the grips is the difference in color between the right and left, as the left grip was exposed to light/sunlight while in a wall-mounted display while the right grip was protected.  The right grip panel is stamped with the gun's serial number, as-is correct for this model and vintage.  The action on this little .32 Safety Hammerless is smooth, precise, and perfectly in time no matter how fast or slow the action is worked.  At full-lock with the trigger depressed the cylinder locks up nice and tight.  All of the mechanics of this Smith are like-new, and there is no doubt it is just as reliable today as it was when it left the factory 115 years ago.  If you have been looking for a totally original 2nd Model .32 Safety Hammerless in very good condition for your collection this 1906-production 3.5" inch example would be an excellent choice.
