This listing is for my original US M6 bayonet. It was designed for the M14 rifle and fits the M14 and some M1A rifles. This bayonet was manufactured by Imperial and is marked U S M6 and IMPERIAL on the crossguard. The scabbard is an original US M8A1 in excellent condition. It was made by P. W. H., which is the Pennsylvania Working House (for the blind).
I bought this bayonet 20-25 years ago for my bayonet collection which has only a few items remaining. The bayonet appears to have been issued for drill use, but has seen no actual field use. The blade and crossguard still have the original cosmoline on them. The blade has light scuffing from being put into and pulled out of the scabbard. There is some light dirt on the grips, but no cracks or scratches. Overall, this is a very nice set for your collection.
