This is a Fazakerly No.4 Mk1 Enfield that was produced in UK. First and foremost this is a complete and solid example of this model with no cracks, chips, or gouges, some slight handling marks present.
This rifle was through arsenal overhaul in 10/1948 and was found to be acceptable for continued service. There are no DP stamps on this rifle. Bore shows signs of use but not neglect. We have patched this bore but not scrubbed or fired/cleaned it. All metal parts still exhibit a fair amount of Suncrolite with original bluing underneath. At some point this rifle saw service in South Africa as seen by marking on barrel crest. Stock forend has PF serial # and wrist has S.T.V.D WALT stamped on the underside. These are not recent stampings. Buttplate is Brass. This rifle will come with the magazine that was received with originally.
