Description:
First year production Model 1892 rifle with 24 inch round barrel chambered in 32 WCF caliber with a bright shiny bore with a few scattered spots of light roughness but strong rifling. Full length magazine tube and crescent rifle style buttplate. Sights include a Beech combination front with a sporting rear and a long range graduated aperture tang sight. Barrel and mag tube retain over 80% blue while the receiver has about 60% original blue with some edge wear to the high points. Traces of case color remain on the hammer and lever. The barrel and receiver are both stamped with the Winchester proof marks indicating that the rifle went back to the factory at some point after 1905. A good looking rifle with smooth action and upgraded sights should make a fine shooter.
