Description:
SOLD    This Winchester Gallery Gun was produced in 1938. The rifle's serial number is 68925. This rifle is chambered for the 22 Short only. This Gallery gun also has the triangular loading port for the speed loaders. The original barrel tie down retaining clamp and spring is still present. The Left hand side of the receiver also has the "Winchester" logo stamped on the side. This rifle as expected, has seen much use. This rifle has the original sights intact. The action works very fine with no issues. The bore is bright with good lands and no pitting. The stock and hand guard are in fine condition. There is no cracks or wood damage. The original butt plate is intact. The barrel and bolt retain most of the original bluing. The rest of the gun is in the light patina condition. This Model 62 is a honest used Gallery Gun that is not abused. To find a early Gallery Gun in original condition is a real find! Most early guns are found in poor condition with bad bores. This Rifle is in great serviceable condition with a clean sharp bore.
