this is an early model 99 Savage serial # 200840, it has a round barrel 26" long, the markings are MANUFACTURED BY SAVAGE ARMS CORP. UTICA, N.Y. USA, also SAVAGE HI-PRESSURE STEEL 303.barrel bluing is about 90% receiver is mostly white. would rate the bore at 90% The stock is beautifully figured AMERICAN BLACK WALNUT WITH MOST OF THE ORIGINAL FACTORY FINNISH. the rifle has an old model 4x bushnell Banner scope attached with weaver pivot mounts.I'm ure the receiver was not factory drilled rifle has its original open sights also the rear tang is factory drilled for the tang peep sights.. This is a consignment item the owner is deceased so limitted information is what is listed. I know the owner used it up until 2 years ago when he could no longer get ammo for it..I loaded him several boxes earlier this year but he passed away brefore he had a chance to shoot it again.
