This is the only site I use and do not plan to change. Description: This is an exceptional German Jaeger rifle from the mid 1800's that has a very nice bore with strong rifling in the 31 inch barrel. It has nice wood the is very well carved. The stock has a horn muzzle cap and the silver (I think German Silver) mountings are well engraved. It has double set triggers and a manual safety as well as half cock. It is marked "V. Chilshilling in Suhl" with "SPKI" on the breech/ It has a sliding wood patch box with a push button release. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation but the use of a watch type key which is not to be found. LOP 13.75 inches, weighs 7 pounds 2.4 ounces. The wood is sound with no cracks or repairs or fillings. This gun could be put back into service. Please use the ZOOM feature.
