Overview
This Dominator Level 2 V4 by Darrel Ralph features a satin finished compound ground blade with notched thumbrest and flipper. The handle has a satin finished titanium frame with matching tip up clip and backspacer. Rides on bearings, nice detent, lockup and blade seating. Comes with pouch

This is a design that has never before been offered as a custom knife and it's absolutely amazing. The Dominator was designed way back in 2002 for Camillus Knives. They brought out a limited run of this knife at that time. DDR did not make a custom version of the knife until now. This sturdy, frame lock flipper features Darrel's famous Maxx Glide Pivot Bearing System and a detent that is second to none. This creates a flipping action so near perfect that you will measure the number of times you open and close this in the thousands not hundreds.
This level 2 model has a compound ground CPM-S35VN blade with a brushed satin flats. It measures 0.179" thick but is thin enough at the edge that we know this knife will be an excellent slicer. The handle is made from 6AL4V aircraft grade titanium with polished satin flats. The backspacer is milled titanium and the pocketclip is made from mokuti, giving this knife a little bit of flair and personality. With input from Jim Skelton, Darrel lightened up the lockbar tension to make unlocking the knife easier without affecting the lockup. It is solid and locks up like a bank vault.
About the Maker Ralph, Darrel
In 1987 Darrel began making knives and the knife industry was forever changed for the better. His designs are not only artistry in motion but imagination come to life for those of us in love with cutting edge weapons. The first knife he ever made was a Butterfly patterned flipper. His first knife sale was five years later in 1992 at a knife show in Cincinnati. It would become the catalyst for over two decades of designs that would set the knife world on fire and raise the stakes for other custom knife makers. In a sense he turned up the pressure and lit a couple of fires in the tactical folder industry. His knives soon garnered the attention of the U.S. Government resulting in a contract to make switchblades for the military. Darrel passed away in 2021.
