First Generation, 1883 Mfg. Colt SAA, chambered in venerable .45 Colt caliber. Wearing a 5.5 inch barrel and original hard rubber Eagle grips. Possible older reapplied Nickel finish with 95% or better condition. Small nickel loss on spot on cylinder. Mechanically excellent with four strong clicks on hammer. Action and lockup rock solid, good bore. Single line barrel address, all marking crips and legible down to the 45 caliber marking on trigger guard. Matching numbers on frame,trigger guard, cylinder and butt. Eagle grips are in excellent original condition with wear to the checkering from guns 140 year lifetime of service.
A letter from Colt dated 1947 comes with gun, a copy shown in pics of Colt. A rare chance to add a high condition Black powder frame, first generation Colt SAA in scarce Nickel finish and chambered in .45 Colt to your collection. A top investment Colt to cherish and enjoy.
