Carl Gustafs "Swedish Mausers" model 96 chambered in 6.5mm X 55 Swedish. This is a bolt-action rifle that was built in both Germany or Sweden with Swedish-supplied high grade tool steel alloyed with nickel, copper, and vanadium, a product then noted for its strength and corrosion resistance. This rifle, manufactured in 1919, is in very good condition. The 6.5×55mm Swedish was one of the early examples of the use of smaller cartridges in military weapons. It has remained popular with modern sportsman for hunting, and long-range marksmanship. 6.5x55 Swedish
