Description:
Marlin Model 1894, or "Model '94", lever action rifle chambered in .25-20 Marlin, manufactured in 1906. This rifle features a 24" round barrel with a full-length magazine tube, smooth walnut furniture with a straight stock, and an aged/patina'd finish. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation, however the elevator itself is not original to the gun. The front sight is a generous brass blade, providing a nice, reasonably precise sight picture. The rifle is in great overall condition, considering its age; the finish has been patina's heavily, however there is very little to no evidence of rust and moisture damage. The lever action is fully operable and solid, with a very nice light trigger. The bore shows some areas of minor pitting, likely from older corrosive .25-20 ammunition. That being said, the bore still has clear rifling, and we consider it to be in good shootable condition. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase.
