FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION MODEL 25 PUMP RIFLE IN DESIRABLE .32-20, #4XXX MADE 1923. According to the barrel code "C P" this fine rifle was manufactured in April, 1923. Most of these hard to find rifles seem to be in .25-20 caliber with .32-20 made in fewer numbers and now difficult to find. This is a fine example with excellent wood with tight wood to metal fit. The receiver retains nearly all of the original deep blue. The barrel and mag show good blue with a little thinning and ageing only. Excellent markings, Marbles buckhorn rear sight (needs elevator bar only) and blade/bead front sight. Tight action and generally excellent fairly bright bore- any scattered roughness extremely minor and will probably clean up fine. A really fine, very early example in a great caliber and nearly 100 years old.
