English bar and wood double barrel percussion shotgun in original case with accessories. This is a very fine shotgun in near new condition. Barrels are 30"" and overall length is 46"". Length of pull is 14.25"". Chokes are full and full. Bores are bright and excellent. Barrels have all of their beautiful Damascus pattern. The side locks are expertly engraved with game scenes accented with very fine floral scrolls. The trigger guard bow has all of its lustrous deep blue and is engraved with a dog on point. The butt plate is steel and the butt plate tang is engraved. Breech plug shows an engraved bird in flight and breech plug tang is engraved en-suite. The stock is excellent and is superb Circassian walnut with beautiful figure! No mashed checkering or wear. The case is very good mahogany and has sliding lock latches. The case is royal purple lined. The accessories include, patch cutter, leather shot flask with hanging game scenes. The powder flask is covered in exceptional fine grain black leather and perfectly stiched on the seams. The flask is by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield. Cap can is Eley Bros. London. There is a three piece ebony cleaning or loading ord. The left end partition contains a near new Sykes capper and two measures, one marked shot the other graduated for powder. The trade label in the lid is a modern copy of Gibbs label. Overall this is a rare find in wonderful condition.
