SOLD Ray Ide 4-15-24 Listing a nice original Winchester 1873 round barreled 24" rifle in 38/40, this caliber was introduced in 1879 , this rifle serial 240410 was built in 1888. the round barreled rifles were I've read 1 in 9 as far as production numbers run. Pretty decent condition, original finish on both wood and meta
|> . Some one marked bottom of reciever with a X , long time ago. Maybe had a ( fast Eddie ) in the group and wanted to protect what was his. I shoot this rifle, feeds and cycles fine. I've noticed many old 73's listed aren't sporting the best wood, people are hanging on to the nicer rifles that do come up. If you plan on Cowboy action shooting with the real deal , this gal would do it, or I guess you can spend about as much for one with plastic innards .any way I ship USPS , only to a FFL or your C&R, priority mail, insured,ntracking number, not to shoot and dismantle the rifle then come whining for a refund.
