Description:
Made by Burnside Rifle Company with a 20 inch round 3-Groove barrel with a very bright shiny bore and strong rifling. Barrel is mostly a plum color with areas of original blue showing through. Original sights. Receiver is mostly gray with some case color showing through with more color in the protected areas. Markings are lightly struck but mostly visible. Lots of small inspector marks are visible. Stabler cutoff switch. Walnut stocks are in good condition with just a few minor dings and handling marks. "ESA" cartouche is visible on the left side of the wrist. Nice functioning action. Not a bad looking example of a Civil War carbine for your collection.
