The Yugoslavian M48A 8x57mm Mauser rifle is based on the German K98 Mauser design. It is a control round feed action that cocks on open. The M48A has a larger claw extractor and three position flag safety. The serial numbers on this rifle match. This a fine example of the Yugoslavian M48A manufactured in the Zastava Arsenal. 8x57mm Mauser
