This gun an 1897 Winchester 12 ga. in Original Box. According to the serial number # 582958 Applied on April 4, 1913, it was manufactured in 1915.
Like New In Box (Original Box). It appears to have been assembled, very likely at the factory, but there is no way of telling that it was ever fired.
It is just as it left the factory over 100 years ago. I felt that it was a very good acquisition when I put it in my collection some 30 years ago.
I believe the gun was intended for South American export. On the Winchester label ,on the box, on the lower right & left corners one is in spanish
And the other corner is in Portuguese. The choke designation on the barrel has been punch doted out, makeing me believe that the barrel had been stamped erroneously . questions call Ron 518-858-1154 EASTERN STANDARD TIME
