Description:
A Delightful little Simson of Suhl "Drilling" built in the "German Democratic Republic" ( East Germany ) in 1985 and chanbered in the seldom seen 20 Gauge for the shotgun barrels and more common 6.5 x 57R in the rifle.
Featuring 24-1/2" barrels, "flip-up" push button activated rear sight, "turn off" scope mounts housing an "Aimpoint Red Dot" optic. "Blitz" type action with extensive game scene engraving. "Greener type safety, double triggers with single set trigger, dark European walnut stock and forearm with a 14-3/8" LOP over a German rubber rifle pad, 6 lbs 12 oz without, and 7 lbs 10 oz with Aimpoint Optic in 30mm rings.
Very tight as ( as in unused ) or used very little, immaculate bores, un-marred stock and forearm with crisp checkering, blueing and metal finish at 98%, including a functioning "Aimpoint" with clear optics.
An extremely handy little "Drilling" weighing only slightly more than a 20ga double but with the advantage of having an effective rifle available to handle that surprise encounter with a big buck while bird hunting!
Regarding 20 gauge choke values; Right barrel measures 0.010 under, call it Improved Cylinder. Left barrel measures 0.032 under, call it Full.
