Description:
This scarce, historic, and large dial antique ship's clock was sold c.1916 by the American Steam Gauge and Valve Company. The dial is 10" in diameter (number ring), with a front bezel diameter of 12". It has its original Chelsea Clock Co. movement that is in excellent working condition and keeps time, although I recommend servicing if long term use is desired. The case is heavy solid cast brass that was originally nickel plated but the original plating is worn off and I polished and electroplated the case for appearance but professional plating is advisable for full restoration. The glass is original as is the key to the functioning locking bezel. $50.00 shipping.
