Description:
24 inch factory replacement octagon barrel chambered in 32 WCF caliber with a bright shiny excellent bore. Rifle was returned to the factory at some point in its life for a new barrel as it shows the "WP" proof marks as well as "MADE IN U.S.A.". All markings are crisp and sharp. Sights include a blade front and sporting rear. Full length magazine tube and barrel retain most all of their original blue. Receiver retains about half of the vibrant case colors behind the side plates and bottom of the frame. The balance of the frame is a mix of gray/brown and silvery case colored patina. The forearm cap and crescent buttplate retain traces of case color. The hammer and lever have turned dark but still show traces of color as well. Loading gate and dust cover have nice amounts of original blue. Walnut stocks are in very good condition with just a few light handling marks. Nice functioning action. This Winchester was made in 1888 and should be a good shooter with that very fine bore.
