We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

Author's Note: I was contacted by a gunsmith familiar with these barrels and informed that Douglas Barrels does not mark their barrels "CR Douglas". I contacted Douglas Barrels, and they have informed me that their barrels are instead stamped "GR Douglas". They stated the barrel is most likely mis-stamped. As their barrels are stamped by hand, a mis-stamp can happen on rare occasions. I have corrected the rest of the description to reflect this. End Note. The Remington Model 700 is one of the most famous, and most popular bolt action rifles ever made, so much so that it has remained in production for over 50 years after its introduction! The Model 700 rifle has been used all over the world by hunters, military snipers, police, and match target shooters. The Model 700 Long Range was built for, as its name suggests, long-range shooting. This example is chambered for the classic .25-06 Remington. It has been modified to improve its overall performance with the fitting of a G.R. Douglas 26” stainless heavy barrel which utilizes a faster twist rate (1:9 inches) than the original barrel (1:10 inches). The .25-06, like the .250 Savage, was created at a time when lighter bullets and slower twist rates were popular. In today’s world, newer cartridges such as the 6.5 Creedmoor feature heavy-for-caliber bullets utilizing faster twist rates to increase accuracy at longer ranges. The heavy bullets are less affected by wind drift than the older, lighter bullets. The G.R. Douglas barrel allows the shooter to use similar, heavy-for-caliber bullets in the .25-06 to achieve similar or even better performance than the 6.5 Creedmoor given the greater case capacity of the former. The .25-06 is suitable for use on anything from prairie dogs and coyotes to deer. The 700 Long Range uses the X-Mark Pro Adjustable trigger which, as its name suggests, can be adjusted for pull weight. The stock uses full aluminum bedding and was most likely produced by H-S Precision. The barrel is free-floating. This rifle is pre-owned but not been used a great deal. It exhibits little to no wear to the finish or the stock. The bore looks like it left the factory yesterday. As with most non-magnum Remington 700s, magazine capacity is 4 rounds. There is no box. The Remington 700 is one the best rifles on the market, and the .25-06 is a versatile and reliable cartridge. If you are looking for a good long-range shooter this 700 is a fine choice.
