Description:
Rare and desirable Ithaca 37R 16ga.1955 Vintage 28" Mod. Choke. Solid rib 16 gauges are hard to find in this condition. Raybar fiber optic front sight. Excellent bore and chamber. Corn cob forepiece is in excellent condition. Butt stock has a properly repaired crack near the receiver which is shown in detail in the photos. Negligable oil intrusion into butt stock unlike most of this era. Butt stock currently lacks butt plate/recoil pad so it's good to go for your own desired LOP. Very faint freckling on sides of receiver and normal bluing wear as seen in detailed photos. Overall, a very nice example that you can still take out and hunt with.
Solid rib Ithacas swing a little smoother and naturally lead your eye toward your target compared to the plane barrel models. Bottom ejection leaves the empties at your feet and reduces debris in the chamber.
