Description:
Springfield Armory produced M1 Garand rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver dates to 1943 but has been arsenal rebuilt--as one would expect from a surplus military rifle. The Springfield barrel is dated 1951. The bolt was made by Winchester and the trigger group by Springfield, both during the Second World War, while the operating rod is post war Springfield. The stock is birchwood and lacks any cartouches or other markings. .30-06 Springfield
