Description:
This is a Webley & Scott service revolver manufacture and proofed in Birmingham England in 1942 has five (5") barrel and is marked War Finish . It is proofed for S&W .38 ammunition, is also broad arrow marked for 145/200 grain bullets. All serial numbers match on barrel cylinder & frame #66043 . The revolver is in exelent condition, has a bright bore& cylinder, nice tight action, locks up when hammer is at rest ( for new to Webley users a feature of W&S service revolvers is that the hammer must be cocked to break open to load/reload or clean, after loading & closing, the weapon is ready to fire. It has very slight cosmetic wear to finish but no pitting or rust. The revolver is now classified as Curio & Relic but must still be shipped to a FFL dealer or licence holder for transfer of ownership. Tiss would be a great addition to ww11 collectors or reenactors.
