1858 Pietta Remington with Kirst .45 Colt Konverter
The .44 caliber percussion revolver has a .451 rifled barrel, making a perfect fit for a .45 Long Colt cartridge. When adding the Kirst conversion ring with loading gate and the cylinder, you create the look and feel of the classic 1858 Remington conversion, producing a practical and easy loading historical frontier era pistola. In the case of this shooter the work of cutting a loading port, and fitting and timing the cylinder have all been done for you. If all these services and components were purchase individually they would be well over my price here. The lock up is very tight, no cylinder play, side to side or to front and back. The action is mechanically perfect. The blue finish is quite worn, but has no rust or pitting. The bore is sharp and shinny bright. Also included is the percussion cylinder. You can see that a personal touch has been added to the grips.
