**JUST REDUCED** Here is a classic Mossberg single shot, marketed by Montgomery Ward’s chain in the 1960s and 1970s. Model is Western Field M815, same rifle as the parent Mossberg 320 and 321 rifles that were manufactured from 1960 until 1980 and well known for their accuracy. Since this one never had a serial number, it was manufactured no later than 1968. Type is bolt action single shot rimfire rifle. Construction is steel barrel, bolt and mechanism with polymer trigger guard in a red stained hardwood stock. Chambering is .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle caliber interchangeably. Barrel is 24 inch medium tapered. Original rear and front sights. Safety is sliding two position side mounted, and the bolt reengages the safety each time it cycles. Overall length is 43 1/2 inches. Surface detractions on this rifle are extereral barrel pitting and loss of most of the blueing. A good blue job would make rifle look nicer.
Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, crisp and clean. Gun functions as it should. This is a very accurate shooting rifle. Great for squirrel hunting and plinking. Had alot of fun with this rifle. Comes with a guidesman soft cammo rifle case.
All and all just a really nice vintage shooting rifle.
