Springfield model 15 .22 single shot youth rifle. These were made for the purpose of teaching young people to shoot, of course. But the single shot was used to teach them to aim carefully, that every shot cost money, so be patient and make your shot count. It's a bolt action, with a 21" barrel, bright siny bore. Barrel is marked SPRINGFIELD followed by tiny letters J Stevens Arms Company, Chicopee Falls, Mass USA. .22 short, long or long rifle,
followed byMODEL 15.
Most of the blueing is long since gone, but the metal is VG+, with no dings, dents, or scratches, evidence of wear of course. The wood is VG, simple stock. No serial number. Someone had a receiver sight mounted on L side rear of the barrel.
