Description:
Nice Mannlicher -design having a straight-pull bolt. These were designed for WWI originally and manufactured by Steyr and FEG. They were originally chambered in 8X50mmR and many were rechambered in 8x56mmR. The rechambered rifles were stamped with an "S" on the barrel to indicate for use with Spitzer bullets. The distance between barrel is 7 inches indicating one of the "Stutzen" models of carbine. The stock appears to be a good grade of fir.
