EARLY ITHACA GUN COMPANY NID GRADE 4 SINGLE BARREL 30” FULL CHOKE TRAP GUN CIRCA 1921. One of the first Knick Model NID trap guns made serial numbered in the 402,xxx range and having the early style superior engraving of the Flues Models with the “TRAPSHOOTER” engraving panel on the left side of frame and the “American Eagle” on the right side. The model for the trap shooter was Joe Heistead of Ohio who broke 1404 consecutive target with an Ithaca Single Trap. Special Order Extra Deluxe Grade 5 walnut Fleur de Lis checkered stock and forend with all the original high polish finish. 14 ¼” pull over pad. 1 ½”, 2 ½” drop. Weight 8 pounds 3 ounces. Barrel with nearly all the blue and frame with the original case hardening. Perfect working order and mint bore. Extra nice.
