Serial Number 247435. Made in 1863. Beautiful gun in very fine condition. Barrel is a mixture of original blue that is fading into a patina. Blue is approximately 60% but appears to be closer to 90% on first glance since the barrel is so sharp and blue is just starting to tone. Frame has very good case colors. Grips are excellent. The case is very interesting as it is has a Paterson style lid and a contour interior. We have owned only a few of these contour cased Colt 1849s and each one had a Paterson style lid. Very fine original Contoured case Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver!
