This .41 Rimfire caliber third model ""Thuer"" derringer was sold in England. Its frame has a smooth brass patina and the barrel is mostly bright. The 2.5"" barrel has a fair bore with visible rifling and firing erosion. The barrel is marked COLT and the left side of the frame is marked 41 CAL. In addition, the right side of the frame below the barrel has the Colt horse logo followed by 14 PALL MALL. The bottom of the barrel has two British proof marks. The walnut grips are very good with wear on the high spots. The action functions correctly. This is an interesting English Colt Thuer derringer.
