Japanese Arisaka (SOLD) Type 99 Type 2 takedown Paratrooper bolt action rifle. Cal. 7.7x58. 25.5” barrel with an excellent bore. Made at the Nagoya Arsenal producing a small amount of takedown rifles for army paratroopers and navy paratroopers. Aircraft sights are in excellent condition. 90% original blue black finish. Wood is in very good condition with the usual battle scars. Barrel, Takedown collar and takedown receiver all matching assemble numbers. Bolt, extractor, bayonet lug, and receiver all matching numbers. Bolt face looks like it has never been fired. Original cleaning rod. Mechanically excellent. A rare rifle in extremely fine condition. Serial # 9572.
