Description:
This CG 63 match target rifle is built on a Swedish M/94 receiver. A new 29.1 inch heavy barrel is fitted to the receiver, non stepped, free floating. The barrel twist is 8.66". The vertical thumb piece is removed from the bolt to speed up and improve lock time. The smooth match quality trigger is ribbed and breaks at 3 1/4 lbs. The trigger guard is serrated. The M/94 bolt handle is straightened and sculpted.

The special pistol grip stock is designed to provide comfort and stability in all firing positions. A cheek rest is built into both sides of the stock for left or right handed shooters. The receiver stop is reinforced with a steel inlay. The buttplate is made of black hard rubber material. The competition sling is specially designed for the CG 63. It is made by JA LASET. It is in good condition, treated with mink oil.

The Carl Gustav 63 competition rifle was first introduced in 1963. The CG factory made approximately 60,000 target rifles from existing M/94 and M/96 rifle actions. The serial number indicates that this rifle's M/94 receiver is one of only 4,474 produced in 1915.

The "HK" mark on the receiver is by Helge Gustaf Ludwig, born August 7,1878. He was employed by the Carl Gustaf factory as an Inspection Officer for eleven years. He held the rank of Lieutenant in the 6th Artillery Regiment.

The rear Elite aperture sight is made by Stanley in Sweden. The Globe Front Sight has an aperture insert sight installed. Sight inserts are included with the rifle.

The rifle was built in 1965. The metal appears to be new, with 99% bluing.

A Texan friend visited Dana Jones, the author of "Crown Jewels", and purchased this CG 63 and several other items from him. This was about fifteen years ago.

The only time the CG 63 was shot was soon after it arrived here. A few rounds were fired and the rifle was very accurate at 600 yards. The 20 rounds of once fired, neck sized, brass is included.
