In 1908 Colt introduced a new medium frame revolver to replace the ageing New Army & Navy models. The new revolver was designed to allow use of more powerful ammunition like the .38 Special Et al. The Army Special was produced from 1908 through 1926. Presented for sale is a very desirable 6 inch matte-blued .38 Special with serial number 512951 manufactured in 1924 with the last patent date of 1905. The revolver is in excellent condition with orginal stylized hard rubber grips. There are no chips or cracks in the grips. The bluing is excellent with the exception of a little bit of holster wear on the leftside of the tip of the barrel and a slight drag line on the cylinder. Over all it is a very nice and desirable Army Special in a very desirable chambering. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purahase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55. This gun requires a FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
