Description:
For your consideration is an excellent example of an Imperial Japanese Arisaka Type 38 Carbine infantry rifle. Rifle is chambered in 6.5x50 Arisaka.  Carbine has a full, untouched mum with exceptionally clear markings and is complete with a very well-fitting dust cover.  Rifle was produced by the Koishikawa (Tokyo) Arsenal between 1934-35.  Only 212,000 of these carbines were produced at this arsenal from 1906-35.  As you can see, the blueing and wood are in excellent condition.  Mechanically, the rifle's action functions flawlessly and the dust cover fits perfectly and operates smoothly during actioning.  There is a hairline crack on the wrist (see photo) but is solid and does not impede operation.  Rifle has a shiny and strong bore and comes with an orginal clearning rod.  Rifle has non-matching serial numbers but all assembly numbers match except the bolt and floor plate.  This is an excellent example of a hard-to-find early World War II rifle for your collection.  Please carefully review photos and let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for looking!  Dan
