Description:
Winchester 1886 standard rifle, 26" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, streight grip stock, with cresceent butt plate.This rifle has had the metal restored with the correct bone charcoal case hardening on the receiver, butt plate, lever, hammer, and forend cap. The remainder of the metal has been rust blued as would be the correct finish for this gun. The wood has been untouched and shows the dents dings and scratches from years of use, The wood is solid with no cracks, or splits. Bore looks good with defined rifling and light frosting and light pitting in spots, overall very usable
