Description:
Marlin 1881 in 45-70 with a 28" octagon barrel, light weight frame. metal is in good shape with the receiver being worn to a siver color and the barrel having approximately 50% old original blue. This gun shows honest use and wear, all apears to function properly. the forend has a repaired crack that ws done many years ago, and the forend is worn smooth with only traces of the original checkering. The pistol grip butt stock shows assorted dents dings and scratches, the checkering on the butt stock is in good shape. Gun has a cerrent production marbles tang sight installed on the tang. Bore has visible rifling with spots of light pitting and frosting. overall honest well used rifle, with a few more years of fun and enjoyment in it
