Description:
This one is in Flayderman’s book #7B-015 a 4 ½” 5 shot 31 caliber fluted barrel ring trigger revolver. About 7000 28 and 31 caliber pistols made. This is serial number 5546. It has an 1849 patent date and retains 25% fading blue color. Crisp markings and very good mechanical condition with tight lock up. The grips are very fine plus condition with 90% varninsh. These could be found at the California Gold Rush site along with Allen & Wheelock pepperbox pistols, Colt 1849 Pocket revolvers and Whitney Center Hammer and Pocket Model revolvers.
