Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with “WALTHER P.38 9mm". Marking on the left side of the frame is “2483 j” followed by "Eagle over 359" Waffenamt acceptance stamp. The right side of the slide has the "Eagle over N”" firing proof and “2483” nu7mber next to it. The right side of the frame has the “Eagle over N” and “ID with antler” mark indicating that the pistol was newly proofed in 1983 by the Ulm proof house.he front of the slide is marked “9PARA”..

Sights / Optics: Fixed front blade and fixed notched rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Conditthion: The grips are the original dark-brown Bakelite grips. The grips are free of major damages, rating in Fine overall condition.
Bore Condition: The bore is mirror bright and the rifling is good.
Overall Condition: This World War II WALTHER P.38 - ac41- 3rd variation pistol is in very good condition considering that it was used for years at the Russian and Western fronts..
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun.

Note: The Walther P38 broke new ground in the design of semi-automatic handguns. It was the first pistol to combine a locked breech with a Double Action/Single Action trigger. The weapon’s hammer could be carried safely with a round in the chamber, and the first shot could be fired in double-action mode, with subsequent shots fired in single-action. Today, this feature has become widely accepted by military and police organizations worldwide.
