Winchester model 42: 28" barrel, 3" chamber, mod choke, Simmons donut rib, S/N 46324 (May 1941). Exhibition wood 99%, metal 98% minor forearm rub on barrel. Near perfect. Because the Winchester sales records on the model 42 have never been located, there is always some guesswork to determine the origin of high-end guns. This gun has some earmarks of originating from the Winchester special order shop, but we will never know, it is just as likely that it is a very professional upgrade.
