Description:
SOLD....................Very rare, Remington Model 81, 300 Savage, 17" Carbine Barrel assembly! This assembly is unique and fully functional! I have live fire tested this assembly on my personal Remington Model 81, 300 Savage. It functioned without any issues! There are a couple small very shallow holes on the left side of the barrel head (photo #5). Have no idea why thy're there but, as mentioned, very shallow and do not in any way hamper function. Must be installed on a 300 Savage 81 with a 300 Savage bolt assembly! is for barrel assembly only! The forearm from your 81 fits this assembly and requires the large takedown screw as well! I have my personal carbine Model 81 in 30 Remington! I have several pictures of this barrel next to it! There are only a few of these carbine barrel assemblies in existence. They were custom built, NOT by Remington! I also have a Trials Rifle complete forearm assembly for sale built by CBR for any Remington 81.
