Description:
This Kimber of America Model 84 in .17 Remington is a bolt action, single shot rifle with a blued receiver and a 24" fluted stainless barrel with recessed crown. The left side of the barrel is marked "KIMBER OF AMERICA, INC., CLACKAMAS, OREGON, U.S.A." and ".17 REM". The left of the receiver is marked with the serial number and "Kimber MODEL 84". The stock is a one-piece finely checkered walnut with a "Kimber" Pachmayr recoil pad and metal grip cap. The .17 Remington is based on the .223 Remington case necked down to .172" and was designed as a varmint round, but it is suitable for smaller predators. It has a very high velocity of over 4000 ft/s. It has a flat trajectory and very low recoil. This rifle is in excellent condition and is a great example of why the Oregon-made Kimbers are so desireable today. .17 Remington
