When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done. The Model 21 is an American icon, and its reputation is well deserved. A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. Most double gun enthusiasts are well aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of mechanical genius that was under the micromanagement of John Olin himself. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This Model 21, sn1991 made around 1934. is a Deluxe Grade Model 21. Winchester made its Deluxe Grade with special attention to metal polishing, fit and finish, special attention to choke and chambers, gorgeous high figure in the wood, and a Deluxe checkering pattern including an ebony insert in the forend. This Model 21 is a “FLAT SIDE” Deluxe, the best that Winchester could make. The Deluxe Grade was a small portion of the overall production and a special gun to own and use. Stocked with exhibition grade walnut with a long 15” LOP to a vintage Winchester pad and great shooting dimensions, it is not your ordinary Model 21. Factory choked M/F and stocked in an English style stock and long beavertail forend, this gun is made for the field or traps. Fully and expertly restored sometime in it’s past, the gun shows like new today and is ready to serve its new owner for generations to come.
