Description:
Here is an interesting piece of history. The revolver is a standard Colt Model 1851 made in 1855 with a London address. Caliber looks like .38 RF. There is some etching and corrsion and roughess on the barrel. The action works as it should and the bore is surprisingly good. Lock-up is fairly tight. The brass loading gate wants to swing out if the gun is held sideways which probably could be fixed with a little judicious bending- I am not the guy to do that. All visible serial numbers match. An interesting gun that made its way from England to the United States to have it "modernized". A real historic icon from 170 years ago which can be sent to your door in most jurisdictions as it is an antique. Shipping and insurance included in the price quoted. NO TEXTS
