For Sale is a Remington 760 Pump Rifle in 308 Winchester. The gun has been used for hunting, and there are some marks in it, but it is fine mechanically and would make a wonderful rifle for deer or hog hunting. The 308 Winchester is a wonderful, versitle caliber, and with the availability of low-rcoil/low velocity ammunition, this gun would be ideal for the shooter who likes less recoil, or, a woman, or youth.
As far as calibers are concerned, they made most of these guns in 30/06, 270 Winchester, and quite a few in 35 Remington. Because this was a Remington Product, they "pushed " the Remington calibers. And, they actually made quite a few in the 244 Remington. Naturally, Remington would not publicly promote Winchester calibers. After all, Winchester was their major competitor.
The shorter case calibers such as the 308 Winchester and 243 Winchester are less common.
The gun is all original, and I see no cracks in the wood, and mechanically it operates just fine.
There are marks in the wood, and freckling and a scratch here or there on the metal. The bore looks good, and the gun is complete with a clip, sling, and comes with a scope. The scope is a Weatherby Imperial 2 3/4x. The scope has fine croshairs and a small dot reticle. The barrel is 22 inches long. The rifle is ready for hunting. The scope is clear. My friend that takes pictures for me has a great phone camera, but it trying to focus for a picture through the scope, it is just about impossible to get a good picture because the 3 lenses are constantly moving back and forth. But, again, the scope is clear.
Take a good look at the pictures, and maximize them to get a good look at everything.
I am selling this for a friend who works two jobs and just does not have the time to deal with it right now.
