Description:
A very good French/Italian belt flintlock pistol with a 101/2" long smooth bore barrel and fancy engraving through-out, but worn smooth in places. The .Action works well and the mainspring is very strong, while the flint gives a shower of sparks. Furniture is chiselengraved iron and engraved brass. Wood appears to be Continatal walnut.Looks like a working pistol of the 17th thru 18th century..Meausres overall about 18" and the bore is about .60 caliber. A wonderfu lworking belt pistol of the 17 to 18th century.The skull crusher iron butt cap, has some wood chipped awat on the inside near the base of the trigger guard, which is typical for bashing an opponent on the head.
